Depop Is Live on Botifex: Hunt New Listings Across All Seven Marketplaces

Depop hunts are live on Botifex.

If you source vintage, streetwear, Y2K, sneakers, or anything that moves on fashion-first apps, you already know the pattern: a seller posts a Carhartt jacket, a Nike dunk, or a Brandy Melville lot at a price that does not match the comps. The listing is gone in minutes. Native Depop saved searches help a little. They do not sit next to your Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, and Mercari hunts. They do not score the deal. They do not text you when the ask is under your max buy.

That gap is closed. Depop is now a first-class Botifex marketplace — same hunt profiles, same alerts, same deal score, same dashboard. Pro and Ultra can turn it on today. Everyone else still gets Depop during the 7-day Pro trial.

This is the announcement: what shipped, why Depop belongs in a serious sourcing stack, how to start a hunt, and what did not change.

Seven Marketplaces, One Hunt

Botifex now watches seven U.S. marketplaces from one workspace: Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop.

That is the full set most U.S. resellers actually work. Local classifieds for pickup. eBay for national comps and auctions. Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp for same-day furniture and tools. Poshmark, Mercari, and now Depop for apparel, accessories, and the fashion inventory that never shows up on a Craigslist sofa hunt.

On August 15 we published a progress report on rebuilding every Botifex scraper. Depop was the missing fashion leg of that program. It is not a side experiment and it is not a bookmark to the Depop homepage. It runs on the same monitoring foundation as Poshmark and Mercari: keyword and price filters, newest-first coverage, and alerts when a listing matches a hunt you already named.

If you already run hunts, you do not learn a new product. You add a source. Open the dashboard, enable Depop, keep the keywords you already trust. The listing lands in the same feed, with the same score, next to everything else you are watching.

The seventh source is not a novelty

Fashion inventory leaks across Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop in the same afternoon. Watching two of those three is how you donate the third to someone faster.

Why Depop Still Prints for Resellers

Depop is not a general-goods dump. It is a fashion marketplace with a younger seller base, a lot of closet cleanouts, and pricing that often ignores eBay sold comps. That is exactly why resellers use it.

Sellers on Depop are frequently moving a single piece, a small bundle, or last season's streetwear — not running a full P&L. They photograph on a bedroom floor. They guess at the ask. They want it gone before the weekend. Vintage Carhartt, Patagonia, Nike, Adidas, Dickies, Brandy Melville, and Y2K denim still show up there under the price you would need on eBay or Poshmark to clear a fee-aware profit.

The other reason Depop matters is overlap. The same hoodie can hit Mercari at 8:12, Poshmark at 8:19, and Depop at 8:21 — or only Depop, because the seller lives in the Depop app and nowhere else. If your monitor stops at Poshmark and Mercari, you are sourcing a fashion market with a hole in it.

Native Depop saved searches and in-app pushes exist. They are built for a shopper, not a reseller with a max buy, a fee model, and six other tabs open. They do not SMS you. They do not attach an eBay sold range. They do not sit in inventory after you buy. That is the job of a reselling workspace, not a social shopping app.

Fashion is a three-app problem

Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop are not interchangeable. The buy is often on the app the seller actually opens. Cover all three or accept missed units as a process choice.

What You Get When Depop Is On

A Depop hunt uses the same controls as every other Botifex source.

  • Keywords and price bands — the terms and max buy you already use on Poshmark and Mercari.
  • Newest listings first — Botifex watches fresh Depop results, not a stale browse page you remembered to open.
  • Alerts where you already get them — dashboard, email, SMS, and push, on the same cadence as your plan.
  • Deal Score on the match — triage before you tap through. Cheap is not the same thing as a deal.
  • One feed with the rest of your hunts — Depop does not live in a separate fashion silo.

After you buy, the rest of the loop is unchanged. Log the SKU in inventory, research comps if you need a second look, list it back out — including Depop as a selling channel if that is where the piece should go. Find is not a separate product from List and Track. That is the point of the platform direction we named on July 31.

Delist support is there too. If you sell the item on another channel, you can queue a Depop delist from the same workspace instead of hunting the listing down by hand.

Who Should Turn It On Today

If you already hunt Poshmark or Mercari, turn Depop on this week. You are already in the categories Depop is strong in. The incremental coverage is the point.

If you flip vintage apparel, workwear, sneakers, or Y2K, Depop is not optional. That is where a lot of those closets get emptied. A monitor that skips it is a self-imposed delay.

If you are a local furniture and tools operator and you never touch fashion, you can leave Depop off. The toggle is a source, not a new religion. Do not add noise to a hunt that has no business on Depop.

If you are on Free or Basic after trial, Depop is a Pro and Ultra source — the same tiering as Poshmark and Mercari. The 7-day Pro trial still includes all seven marketplaces, so you can prove the channel before you pay for it.

Do not boil the ocean

Add Depop to hunts that already buy apparel and accessories. Leave it off hunts that are sofas, generators, and riding mowers.

How to Start a Depop Hunt

You do not need a new account or a new workflow.

  • Log in and open your dashboard.
  • On the hunt monitors, enable Depop. Pro and Ultra can run it; Free and Basic see the upgrade path.
  • Use the keywords and price range you already trust — brand + item, not a vague "vintage" that will flood the feed.
  • Confirm alerts (email, SMS, push) are on for the hunts you care about.
  • Let it run. The first useful ping is the test, not a settings tour.

If you have never set marketplace alerts up the right way, start with How to Set Up Marketplace Alerts and the fashion companion Poshmark and Mercari notifications guide. Depop slots into that same playbook.

Treat the first week as calibration. If the feed is noisy, tighten keywords and the max buy. If it is quiet, you are probably over-filtering a fashion app that titles casually. "Nike hoodie large" will miss "nike oversized sweatshirt." Brand + category, then price, is usually the better first pass.

What This Does Not Change

This is a new source, not a new Botifex. Your existing hunts keep running. Your inventory, Vision research, listing tools, and profit tracking do not get a new setup wizard.

We are not going to publish how the Depop monitor is built. Marketplace monitoring is a competitive advantage, and public teardowns go stale the week a site changes. You will see the outcome: Depop listings in the feed, with the same quality bar we are holding across every scraper.

Coverage will keep moving because Depop will keep moving. That is normal. The August 15 scraper program was about recovery and quality, not a claim that the public web stops changing. If a hunt looks quiet, check the monitor status and your keywords before you assume the marketplace is empty.

The rest of the roadmap is the same loop we named in July: Find, Research, Buy, List, Sell, Track. Depop makes Find more complete for fashion. It does not replace Track. If you catch more units and never log cost basis, you got busier, not better. The inventory and profit guide we published today is the other half of that sentence.

Turn it on, then measure

A new source is only a win if the extra buys survive fees, shipping, and days to sell. Watch the feed — then watch the ledger.

FAQs

Is the Botifex Depop scraper live right now?

Yes. As of August 23, 2026, Depop is a first-class Botifex hunt source. Enable it on the dashboard the same way you enable Poshmark or Mercari.

Which plans include Depop?

Pro and Ultra. Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop share that tiering. Free, Basic, and Pro still include a 7-day Pro trial with all seven marketplaces and no card required. Ultra is paid checkout only.

Do I need a separate Depop login for hunts?

No. Sourcing watches public Depop listings that match your keywords and price filters. You use your own Depop account when you buy or list, the same as every other marketplace.

Will Depop listings get Deal Score and alerts?

Yes. Matches land in the same feed as your other sources, with Deal Score and the alert channels you already enabled — dashboard, email, SMS, and push, on your plan's refresh cadence.

I don't sell clothes. Should I enable Depop?

Only if the hunt's categories actually appear there. Depop is strong for fashion, vintage, streetwear, and accessories. It is a weak fit for sofas, generators, and riding mowers. Leave it off those profiles.

Does Botifex also list and delist on Depop?

Yes. You can include Depop when you list from the selling workspace, and you can queue a Depop delist when the item sells on another channel. Find, list, and take-down stay in one workspace.
