About Botifex

Reselling software built for the way flippers actually work

Botifex is the all-in-one workspace for online sellers — find underpriced listings across eight marketplaces, research what they are worth, create listings, and track inventory and profits from one place. Here is what we built, why each piece exists, and the short story behind the product.

What Botifex is

Botifex is reselling software for people who buy low and sell higher across online marketplaces. Instead of juggling browser tabs, spreadsheets, and guesswork, you run hunt profiles, get real-time alerts, score deals with comps, prep listings with AI helpers, and close the loop with inventory and profit tracking.

Supported marketplaces: Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot — with plan-based coverage and refresh speed. See pricing for plan coverage, or the product overview for a faster tour.

The problem every reseller hits

Profitable flips move fast. Manual hunting does not scale — and the gap between 'saw it' and 'messaged the seller' is where money leaks.

Tab-hopping burns hours

Refreshing Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot by hand means you miss listings while you are looking somewhere else.

Cheap is not the same as profitable

Without sold comps, sell-through context, and fee-aware margin math, you drive to pickups that never clear a real profit.

Sourcing and selling stay disconnected

Deals live in one app, notes in another, listings get retyped, and inventory cost basis gets lost — so you cannot tell which niches actually pay.

Why we built these reselling tools

Every major Botifex feature exists to remove a specific bottleneck in the flip cycle — from first scan to sold inventory.

Multi-marketplace monitoring

Deals disappear in minutes. Continuous scanning across six markets means you see matches while they are still buyable — not after someone else messaged first.

Hunt profiles & saved searches

Serious flippers run multiple niches. Named presets with keywords, price bands, and sources keep electronics, furniture, and apparel hunts organized without rebuilding filters every day.

Hunt profiles explained →

Real-time deal alerts

Speed is the edge. Dashboard, email, SMS, push, and digests turn Botifex into a 24/7 lookout so you reply first instead of discovering the post hours later.

Alert channels by plan →

Deal intelligence & comps

A low ask is not always a good flip. Deal Score, eBay sold comps, and profit estimates help you skip traps and chase real spreads before you spend gas or cash.

Deal intelligence →

Botifex Vision & AI research

Research time kills throughput. Visual ID and listing helpers compress 'what is this worth and how do I list it?' into a guided workflow — especially on mixed lots and thrift hauls.

Vision & AI tools →

Inventory, listing & cross-posting

Finding inventory is half the business. Cost basis, photo/SKU workflows, selling tools, and cross-posting close the loop so items move from sourced deal to listed product without retyping.

Inventory & selling →

Find → Research → List → Track

One reseller workflow instead of five disconnected tools. That is the product thesis behind Botifex.

1

Find

Run hunt profiles across supported marketplaces and get alerted when listings match your criteria.

2

Research

Check Deal Score, comps, and pricing context so you buy with margin math — not gut feel.

3

List

Prep titles, photos, categories, and specifics, then cross-post with the browser extension instead of starting over.

4

Track

Log inventory, mark sold for ROI, and use analytics to double down on niches that convert.

A short story — from Raspberry Pi to reselling platform

Botifex started because manually refreshing marketplaces was wasting hours every week. Founder Rhev Williams built the first version at 16 in rural Idaho on a Raspberry Pi — a personal tool to find better deals faster. Five prototypes in twelve days shaped the approach that became Botifex.

There was no venture funding and no giant team — just a determination to ship tools that actually help flippers win the refresh race. What began as SuperBot evolved into Botifex LLC, headquartered in Blackfoot, Idaho, serving resellers across the U.S.

Today the product is still guided by that original constraint: if a feature does not help you find, research, list, or track inventory faster, it does not ship.

What we optimize for

These principles decide what lands on the Roadmap and what gets cut. See what is next on the Roadmap.

Speed

Listings must reach sellers before they disappear. Refresh intervals, alert channels, and infrastructure investments prioritize lead time.

Clarity

Every alert should be action-ready: context, pricing, source links, and enough deal intelligence to decide quickly.

Trust

Free to start, no card for the Pro trial on eligible plans, cancel in one click, and transparent privacy practices — including why we collect account data.

Milestones

  • 2024: Prototype V5 on a Raspberry Pi. Real-time Craigslist and eBay alerts prove that continuous monitoring beats manual refresh.
  • 2025: Botifex LLC formed. Multi-marketplace coverage expands. Free-to-start onboarding and the modern reseller workflow ship.
  • Today: Six-marketplace monitoring, deal intelligence, Vision/AI listing help, inventory tools, and continuous shipping for resellers — with mobile, smarter scores, and broader reach next.
