Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Botifex LLC (“Botifex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making botifex.com and the Botifex web application usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, captions, and other assistive technologies.
This statement covers the public marketing website, account pages (such as login and registration), and the logged-in Botifex application. It does not cover third-party marketplaces, payment processors, or other sites we link to.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 AA is the current widely used technical standard for web accessibility and is consistent with expectations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar laws.
We have not completed a formal third-party WCAG audit of every page. Based on internal review of our templates, navigation, forms, and interactive controls, we currently consider the site partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: some content meets the success criteria, and some does not yet.
What we do to support accessibility
- Semantic structure: Pages use HTML landmarks such as navigation, main content, and footer, with a document language of English.
- Keyboard access: Primary navigation, menus, buttons, and forms are designed to be used with a keyboard. The mobile menu can be opened, closed, and dismissed with Escape. Interactive controls show a visible focus ring.
- Names and labels: Buttons, dialogs, and many icon-only controls include accessible names (for example, “Open menu,” “Botifex Home,” and cookie-preference labels). Images used for branding include alternative text.
- Responsive layout: The site is built for phones, tablets, and desktops, with touch targets sized for easier tapping and pinch-to-zoom allowed by the browser.
- Motion: Decorative animation is reduced when the operating system “reduce motion” setting is enabled.
- Color: We use a dark theme with high-contrast text and a distinct focus indicator. Information is not intended to rely on color alone.
- Forms and dialogs: Account, contact, and consent flows use labels, required-field handling, and dialog roles where a modal is shown.
Compatibility
The website is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, and with common assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. Older browsers and unsupported assistive-technology combinations may not work as well.
JavaScript is used for navigation, forms, alerts, and parts of the logged-in application. Core marketing information remains readable if scripts fail to load, but some interactive features will not.
Known limitations
We know the following areas may still create barriers, and we are working to improve them:
- Some pages do not yet include a “skip to main content” link.
- Live listing feeds, alerts, charts, and deal scores in the logged-in app may not always announce updates to screen readers or provide a full text equivalent for every visualization.
- Listing photos, titles, and other content imported from third-party marketplaces (including Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, and Mercari) may lack complete alternative text or consistent structure because that content is supplied by those sites.
- Some decorative icons, maps, or densely interactive tables may be harder to use with a screen reader or keyboard than static pages.
- Embedded third-party services (for example payment checkout, fonts, or analytics after cookie consent) follow those providers’ accessibility practices, which we do not fully control.
If you find a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us. Reports help us prioritize fixes.

How we evaluate accessibility
We review new marketing and product templates for headings, labels, keyboard focus, and ARIA usage as we build them. We also use automated checks and manual keyboard testing on primary flows (home, pricing, sign-up, login, and the main application shell). This statement will be updated when we complete a broader audit or when we fix material issues.
Formal complaints
We prefer to resolve accessibility issues directly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also have rights under applicable disability discrimination law, including the ADA in the United States. You can learn more about web accessibility standards from the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.
