Flipify is the speed-first hunting app: $5–$10 per watchlist, 1-minute Premium checks. Botifex is the reseller workspace: Find, research, list, and track at a flat Pro rate.
Updated August 16, 2026
This is the comparison most resellers actually mean. Flipify (flipifyapp.com) is a watchlist alert app for Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, OfferUp, Vinted, eBay, Mercari, and Gumtree. Public pricing is $5 per Basic watchlist (10-minute checks) and $10 per Premium watchlist (1-minute checks). Botifex refreshes every 5 minutes on Pro/Ultra, covers eight U.S. marketplaces including Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot, and includes hunt profiles, Deal Score, Vision AI, inventory, and P&L in one flat-rate plan. Older write-ups called Flipify a 10–30 second ping with five markets and no comps. Flipify’s own 2026 public site is 1-minute Premium, eight markets, and eBay sold averages when comps exist.
| Dimension | Botifex | Flipify |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Resellers who want Find → Research → List → Track without paying per niche | Phone-first hunters who want the fastest public check cadence on a few watchlists |
| Platform type | Web reseller workspace (desktop-first, PWA alerts, browser extension) | iOS, Android, and web hunting app — phone-first UX, watchlists sync across devices |
| Marketplaces covered | 8: Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot | 8 publicly listed: Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, OfferUp, Vinted, eBay, Mercari, Gumtree (availability varies by region) |
| Not covered / weak fit | No Kijiji, Vinted, or Gumtree; 5-minute Pro floor is slower than Flipify Premium | No Poshmark, Depop, or Whatnot; not Vision, listing/cross-post, or a full P&L workspace |
| Refresh / alert speed | 20 min Free · 10 min Basic · 5 min Pro/Ultra | Public: 10 min Basic watchlists, 1 min Premium. App Store still markets seconds-scale push; delivery depends on when the marketplace exposes the listing |
| Price (public USD) | Free–Ultra: $0 / $19.99 / $49.99 / $126.99 — unlimited keywords on Pro/Ultra | $5 per Basic watchlist / $10 per Premium watchlist per month. Cost scales with how many hunts you run. Confirm on Flipify. |
| Saved searches | Named hunt profiles you pause/resume; unlimited on Pro/Ultra | Watchlists billed individually. Five Premium hunts = $50/mo before ops tools |
| Filters | Keywords, ZIP, radius, price bands, sources, hunt profiles | Search terms, negative keywords, price, location, radius; AI spam/junk filter on Premium |
| Alert channels | Dashboard, email, SMS, PWA push, daily digest (plan-dependent) | Push, SMS, and email advertised on watchlists |
| Deal Score / comps | Deal Score 0–100 plus eBay sold comps, sell-through, and fee-aware estimates on Pro/Ultra | eBay sold averages, estimated spread, and deal ratings when comps are available — on the alert, not a listing/P&L suite |
| Vision AI / in-person scan | Yes — photo ID and resale estimates for thrift, garage-sale, and mixed lots | No equivalent in-person product-ID layer |
| Inventory, listing & P&L | Built-in inventory, selling tools, cross-posting; P&L / CSV on Ultra | Alert-to-seller-link hunter. Not a buy-to-sold ledger or cross-posting workspace |
| Trial | 7-day Pro trial on Free, Basic, and Pro — no card. Lasting Free plan after that | 5-day trial with 1 Basic + 1 Premium watchlist. Web trial requires a payment method; app-store terms may differ. No lasting free tier |
Flipify is a subscription marketplace-alert app at flipifyapp.com (also listed on the App Store as Flipify: Marketplace Alerts). Public positioning is speed: build a watchlist, let it scan in the cloud, get pinged on your phone, open the original listing, message the seller. It runs on iOS, Android, and the web with the same account.
Public marketplace coverage is Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, OfferUp, Vinted, eBay, Mercari, and Gumtree. That international classifieds set (Kijiji, Gumtree, Vinted) matters outside the U.S. Poshmark is not on the list. Availability can vary by region.
Flipify also advertises eBay sold-price comparisons, estimated spread, and deal ratings when comps exist, plus negative keywords and Premium AI junk filtering. Optional Facebook auto-messaging is described as a device-local Facebook session — they say they do not store marketplace passwords. That is still an alert-to-message product, not Vision, listing drafts, or a P&L.
Botifex is all-in-one reselling software. Marketplace monitoring is the Find layer, not the whole product. After an alert, the same workspace scores the listing, helps you list it, and tracks inventory and profit. Hunt profiles pause and resume without buying another watchlist SKU.
Coverage is eight U.S.-centric marketplaces: Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot. Mercari overlaps with Flipify. Poshmark, Depop, and Whatnot do not. Kijiji, Vinted, and Gumtree are Flipify-only in this comparison.
Plans run Free $0, Basic $19.99, Pro $49.99, and Ultra $126.99 per month. Free, Basic, and Pro include a 7-day Pro trial with no card. Pro and Ultra refresh every 5 minutes with unlimited keywords. How it works is the self-serve path if you want the workflow before you compare ping speed.
This comparison is not “which brand is better.” It is whether you need the fastest hunter or an operating system for the flip. Flipify’s public Premium cadence is every 60 seconds. Botifex Pro is every 5 minutes. On OfferUp and the hottest local Facebook drops, that gap is real. On Craigslist furniture and eBay auctions, it rarely is.
A 1-minute ping to a listing you still have to comp in another tab is Flipify’s job done. A 5-minute ping that already has Deal Score, then becomes inventory and a draft, is Botifex’s job. Cheap ≠ profitable — Flipify’s own site now shows spread when comps exist; Botifex still owns Vision, listing, and the ledger.
Flipify’s current public copy is unambiguous: Basic watchlists check every 10 minutes; Premium watchlists check every minute. They note delivery can vary with when a marketplace exposes the listing. The App Store listing still markets near-instant / seconds-scale push. We treat the pricing-page cadence (1 min / 10 min) as the citable product spec and the store copy as marketing.
Botifex Pro and Ultra check every 5 minutes — slower than Flipify Premium, faster than Flipify Basic, and in the same band as Botifex’s own Basic (10 min) vs Flipify Basic (10 min). Older Botifex pages that said “Flipify is 10–30 seconds” were describing App Store velocity, not the 2026 watchlist SKUs.
If sub-5-minute Facebook/OfferUp drops are the whole job, Flipify Premium wins. If you also need research and operations, speed is one row. For a concierge Facebook hunter with instant SKUs, see Botifex vs Marketplace Monitor. For cars, see Botifex vs Swoopa (Flipify Motors is a waitlist, not the shipped car product).
Overlap: Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, eBay, and Mercari appear on both public lists. That does not make the products interchangeable. Flipify’s feed is a watchlist hunter with optional comps on the card. Botifex’s hunt profiles feed a scored workspace with inventory behind them.
Flipify-only (as publicly listed): Kijiji, Vinted, and Gumtree. Botifex does not cover those. If you source in Canada, the UK/EU fashion classifieds, or Gumtree, that gap is real.
Botifex-only in this comparison: Poshmark as first-class sourcing plus listing workflow. If apparel on Poshmark is how you get paid, Botifex covers a sell-side market Flipify does not list.
Flipify’s publicly listed USD pricing (confirm on their site; they change) is $5 per Basic watchlist per month and $10 per Premium watchlist per month. A 5-day web trial includes one of each and requires a payment method. There is no lasting free tier. App Store / Google Play billing is managed in the stores and may differ.
Math that matters: two Premium watchlists are $20; five are $50; ten are $100 — still alerts only. Botifex Pro is $49.99 with unlimited hunt profiles, all eight marketplaces, Deal Score, inventory, selling tools, and SMS. Flipify is cheaper if you truly run one or two hunts. It is more expensive the moment your niches multiply and you still lack a ledger.
Botifex Free is $0 ongoing after a no-card 7-day Pro trial (Craigslist + eBay, 20-minute checks). Flipify’s trial is the only $0 window, and the card is on file. Compare the job, not the $5 starter SKU.
Do not use 2024 talking points. Flipify’s current homepage shows asking price, eBay sold average, estimated spread, and a deal rating when comps are available. That closes part of the old “you still have to leave the app to research” gap.
What Flipify still does not replace: Vision for in-person lots, named hunt-profile switching, listing/cross-post drafts, inventory cost basis, Ultra P&L / CSV, or Poshmark. An enriched ping is not a reseller operating system. Deal intelligence on Botifex is wired into the buy decision and the ledger, not only the notification.
Yes, if you actually have two speeds. A common honest split: Flipify Premium on one or two hyper-local OfferUp/Facebook hunts where a minute matters, and Botifex Pro for Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot, Vision at thrift, and inventory. Paying $10–$20 extra only pays when those sniper hunts cover the Flipify bill.
Most side flippers should not stack them. Pick the tool that matches how you get paid. If you are still mapping the category, start on the compare hub or the 2026 marketplace monitoring showdown.
Flipify Premium’s public 1-minute check cadence is faster than Botifex Pro’s 5 minutes. On the hottest local drops, that is a real advantage Botifex does not try to copy.
Flipify lists Kijiji, Vinted, and Gumtree. Botifex does not. Botifex lists Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot. Flipify does not. Coverage is not a simple 8-vs-8 scoreboard.
Per-watchlist pricing is cheap at one or two hunts and expensive at five-plus. Botifex Pro is one $49.99 plan with unlimited hunt profiles plus tools Flipify does not ship.
Flipify now shows eBay comps and deal ratings when available. It still is not Vision, listing, or a P&L. Do not pretend either side has zero research.
Flipify’s 5-day trial requires a payment method on the web. Botifex’s 7-day Pro trial does not, and Free continues after. Flipify’s iOS/Android hunting UX is still the closer fit if you never sit at a laptop.
For most business-minded resellers, yes: unlimited hunt profiles on Pro, Poshmark, Vision, inventory, listing tools, and a no-card trial. Flipify is better if raw alert speed (1-minute Premium watchlists) and a mobile hunting app are the main job and you only run a few watchlists.
No. Flipify Premium checks every minute on the public pricing page; Basic checks every 10 minutes. Botifex Pro/Ultra refresh every 5 minutes. That gap matters on the hottest local OfferUp and Facebook drops and barely matters on eBay or slower Craigslist furniture.
Flipify is $5 per Basic watchlist and $10 per Premium watchlist per month, so five Premium hunts are $50 — about Botifex Pro — before inventory or listing tools. Botifex Pro is $49.99/month with unlimited keywords, eight marketplaces, and the rest of the flip. Flipify is cheaper at one or two watchlists.
Flipify’s current site shows eBay sold averages, estimated spread, and deal ratings when comps are available. Botifex Deal Score is a 0–100 buy/resale model plus sell-through and fee-aware estimates, then inventory after you buy. Overlap on “show a comp”; not the same stack.
Not on Flipify’s public marketplace list. Flipify lists Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, OfferUp, Vinted, eBay, Mercari, and Gumtree. Botifex covers Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Whatnot on Pro and Ultra.
No lasting free tier. Flipify advertises a 5-day trial with one Basic and one Premium watchlist. The web trial requires a payment method. Botifex Free is $0 ongoing after a 7-day Pro trial with no card on Free, Basic, and Pro.
Yes, if a couple of Flipify Premium watchlists cover hyper-local sniper hunts and Botifex runs Poshmark, Vision, and inventory. Most side flippers only need one; two subscriptions only pay when the extra minute of speed covers the Flipify bill.
No. Flipify is a general-merchandise watchlist app with 1-minute Premium checks and per-watchlist pricing. Swoopa is a native car hunter with vehicle filters. DealHunter is a cheaper seven-market PWA including Depop. Botifex is the reseller workspace. See the other Botifex vs pages for those jobs.
Not as a buy-to-sold ledger or cross-posting workspace. Flipify is positioned as set a watchlist → get pinged → open the original listing. Botifex includes inventory, selling tools, and Ultra P&L / CSV after you buy.
For the hottest Facebook drops where a minute matters, Flipify Premium is the faster hunter. For Facebook general merchandise you will research, relist on Poshmark or eBay, and track, Botifex is the fuller workspace. Both monitor Facebook; the workflow after the ping is what differs.
