Built by a 16-year-old in rural Idaho who turned an idea into reality

From Zero to Launch in 12 Days

Botifex was created by a 16-year-old developer from rural Idaho who taught himself to code in just 9 days. With limited resources and few coding mentors nearby, he spent late nights learning, experimenting, and building.

After learning the fundamentals, he built his first working marketplace scraper in just 3 days—but it didn't work. Neither did the second. Or the third. Or the fourth. Most people would have given up.

But on the fifth attempt, everything clicked. Using Selenium, a Raspberry Pi 5, and PowerShell scripts, he finally created a bot that worked—a marketplace scraper that could actually find deals across multiple platforms.

That breakthrough happened in late September 2024. What started as "Marketplace Bot V5" running on a tiny Raspberry Pi in rural Idaho has evolved into Botifex LLC—a full-featured web platform that helps thousands of people find better deals every day.

The name? It came in a flash of inspiration at 3 AM. Sometimes the best ideas strike when you least expect them.
